Pinky Dinky Doo

This is the Jacobean pattern. It is the first pattern we've been given for the 2008 Sock Knitters Pentathlon. This is an awesome pattern and I'm really loving it. I've not knit many toe up socks simply because I can't ever seem to get a neat looking cast on. I followed the directions for Judy's Magic Cast-On suggested in the pattern and fell in love. It's incredible. I'm working these in Pale Pink Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock on a 2.5mm 40" circular. Can't wait to wear these!

Kerry those socks are so pretty. I am not a big fan of pink - but with some awesome clogs - I bet they will be stunning!
Have fun working on them!

I wasn't a fan of toe-up socks until I discovered the joy of short-row toes. Oh how easy and pretty and the extra yarn from the cast on edge ends up being weaved in where you won't feel it (under your toe joint). Love!

(is it a new thing with blogger that doesn't allow posts if you don't have a google, blogger, openid, livejounal, wordpress, typepad or aim identity? Good thing that dusty old livejournal account's still active for me!)

Kerry, hopefully you received your email from my shipping staff regarding your recent Jollyewe order. I didn't have your email to respond directly.

Very pretty. I've never done toe-up yet. Still haven't gotten those first stitches together yet. Maybe one day? But hey, you're doing great!! :)
