Bah Hum Bug

I can't believe how far behind I am on my posts! I'm sure you're all on the edge of your seats wondering who got entries for the past few days so here goes:

8th - Heavenly Evil, Meg Peters, Adrienne, Leslie, Aunt Gerry, Shelby, Erin and Lisa

9th - knittinannie, Meg Peters, Laura, Jeanie Townsend, Monica J, Gretchen, Steph, Cindy Lee Lee and StarzAbove

10th - Deborah Douglas, Leslie, Erin, Ollie, Sharlene, Joanseely, SandyK, Laura, Toni and Donna S

If I make it for 2 more hours I'll post the entries for today as well. But don't stay up holding your hands on your hind ends...they might take root.

I've spent the last 3 days shopping. I'm almost done and it's a damn good thing. I want to torch the malls and gouge the eyes out of the next rude ass shopper that pushes me out of their way and doesn't even take a second to say they're sorry. Honest. I told a woman in Gander Mt. today that she was lucky that I was a lady because if I wasn't I would throw her to the floor and kick the living shit out of her. She stormed off in a huff after that. Bitch. I was trying to look at boots for Dan. I wasn't even in a main aisle. I was about 3 tables deep OFF the main aisle. But the main aisles are congested with shoppers and some people are in a huge yank to get God knows where. Reminds me of a bumper sticker I saw when I was in second grade..."Drive like hell and you'll get there." I wonder if there's a special place in hell for nasty shoppers? I'll be leaving Thursday night for an overnight in Albany where I plan to finish my shopping on Friday. All I can say is if you're in Albany and push me you better hope like hell your pants are padded with Charmin 'cause if not, I refuse to be held responsible for your bruised ass.

Shopping...I love shopping but with the good stores 50 miles away and 6 inches of snow that just beautifully drifted down lately, I' giving gift cards to their fav stores like LL.Bean & JoAnn'a fabrics & Coldwater creek ..
Be cool & take it easy.......

Christmas shopping always seems to bring out the worst in some. I hate fighting the masses and refuse to shop on the weekends when they are out in full force. I went to my LYS instead where everyone was nice and there was no pushing or shoving.

I'm sooooo with ya on the rude and nasty people out there this time of year! I think the worst ones that get to us are the ones that stop smack in the middle of the aisles to bs. IF I absolutely HAVE to go out this time of year, I make a point of taking hubby along to run interference ahead of me and the cart. He'll bulldoze a path right through the middle of them when they do that.

I don't suppose I should mention either that I've been DONE with shopping and presents and stuff since sometime in July? Pleeease don't throw tomatoes!! gggg

I'm laughing at Sandy because when I had a lot of folks to buy for I'd be done by October 1st. It's so restful not having to stress over holiday shopping and putting up with the crowds.

I forgot to post when I popped in yesterday afternoon, Kerry, so I guess this will count for Monday, December 12th.

I work in a retail store, and it hasn't been too bad from my side of the cash register yet. Customers have been pretty decent so far. I hope the rest of your shopping goes better!

I haven't even started shopping yet. As each year passes and the family grows it is hard to decide what to buy for everyone. The only thing I know is I am making a fleece blanket for my SIL. It's an Auburn print and I was thinking way back in July when I was visiting friends in Alabama. I will be the one on the 24th with a cart full of stuff, smiling because I only fought the crowds once!

good monday morning!!!!
I think I'll need to take a day off this week just to do my shopping. but the problem is, I still don't even have a list!!! I'm a procrastinator from waaay back, I guess.

You poor thing! Shopping at this time of year in just about any type of store takes all the patience of a saint, and the shoulders of a linebacker....not that any other time of year is much better, just less crowded. I hope your next trip has more pleasant results.
And I was delighted to see that my name was included in the drawing! How exciting, and something very nice for the holiday season.

oh my! it's already the 12th! eeks!

it is hard to believe the attitude of people these days. obviously, some "people" are much more important than others! not!!!!

certainly, the spirit of the season should not encompass such selfishness.

i wish you and yours peace & happiness. and may the rest of your shopping be fun & productive!

my "last straw" like that happened in poughkeepsie ny, when i was teaching at vassar.
i went grocery shopping. fill the cart and go out to the car. there is a car waiting for a spot 2 cars up. i pop my trunk and put away all the groceries
and now am ready to leave.
the guy won't move... he has to have the spot 2 cars up - which is actually FURTHER from the door, instead of backing up enough to let me out....
so now we live in "urban exile" small town WA. of course the flip side is that there are too few stores here...

It is a shame people are soooo rude! You can tell how they hate the holidays & then they ruin the shopping experience for the rest of us!! I am almost done....thank goodness!

I have given up with the rude shoppers and holiday shopping insanity by buying everything online. The shipping fee more than makes up for the $^($#&%) malls.

I'm with Shara and Erin on the buying things online. Even though I don't need to worry about buying things for Christmas. One of the perks of having an atheistic dad and a JW mom. They still get stuff from me, but that's mostly because I've been stashing since the summer and this is my first chance to go home.

I was shoping at a grand opening of a grocery store and there was a special on the pop I drink. I drove my cart up to the place where they were and I pulled one case out and it looked like that was the last one. I had to been way down and reach my arm way back into the hole and I fished out two more that were way in back. I picked up one and leaned over to put it in my cart and then was going to get the other one that I had fished out. All of a sudden someone bumped me real hard in the back. I almost stumbled. When I turned around a Rude B...h was getting the other case of pop that I had pulled out. I said Hey that is mine. She said Oh no it isn't and walked off. I yelled at her. "You rude B...!. She yelled back. You can't have all of them!. Can you believe it? I then went to the manager and had him get me 5 more cases as there was no limit. I found her at the checkout and she saw all the ones I had and I just laughed at her.
Hows that for a real rude shopper?

Good Morning!

Well,it is suppose to snow this evening again. I love snow! So that is alright with me. But it does not bring out the best side of everyone else. So I will try to stay home curled up with my knitting and a good movie.

Have a safe day!

I missed signing in this morning, but it's still Tuesday, so here's my Tuesday official entry.

Hope you are getting all those presents ready and wrapped, Kerry! Remember, you can just smile nicely at all the rude folks and really drive 'em wild!

Boy the time on this thing seems to be throwing me off. I'll post in the evening and it will have the next day's date on it, so I never know if I'm in for the day in time or not. I'm sneaking a few minutes to try it earlier today and see what happens when it posts.

$30 house slippers...

Enjoying a good laugh at hubby's expense over the sasquatch socks... He's worn them every morning and evening since they came off the needles. He's wearing them for house slippers! Told him if I'd known he was gonna do that, I'd have made him heavy slippers out of Red Heart or something instead of two balls of sock yarn at $15 a ball. This is a man that would act like he'd walked on rusty nails or razor blades if he so much as stepped on a single grain of salt in his bare feet, but here he is walking all over indoors and out in his new sasquatch socks. Go figure, huh?
